Estate agent platform with MLS: estate agent platform with shared listings (MLS)
One platform for estate agents with a shared listings network, so properties no longer sit in separate silos.

What it was about
Estate agents often work with their own site, their own listings file and informal arrangements with colleagues. Sharing listings then happens by email or phone, and data sits in several places, each slightly different.
The brief was a platform in which a listing is recorded once and is then correct everywhere: on their own site, in the shared network and in communication with buyers, across languages too.
The parts
Properties are recorded once, with photos, features and status; all channels draw their data from there.
Estate agents can share listings with colleagues on their own terms, without losing control of their own records.
The site works in multiple languages, including translated URLs, so every language can be found in search too.
Each office has its own environment and its own branding on the same technical foundation.
How we did it
- First defined the data model: what is a property, what is a listing file, who may see what.
- Started with one working office environment before letting it serve multiple offices.
- Built everything behind one internal layer, so the source of the data can change without the site changing.
- Extended step by step, using the demo to test it with actual estate agents.
What it delivers
- Data lives in one place instead of in three files, so the listings are the same everywhere.
- Sharing listings with colleagues is an action in the system instead of an email exchange.
- The platform is in development; once offices are really running on it, we will share what it delivers, in consultation with them.
