AI strategy for SMEs: know where it pays off before you build.
Most AI projects don't fail in the build, but in the choice of what to build. That's why we don't start with a tool, but with your process: where does manual work cost the most time, where do mistakes cost the most money, and what is realistic within your budget and data?
When this is for you
- You know AI could do something for your business, but not where to start.
- “Something with AI” has been on the list for a year and nothing happens.
- You've already tried a tool, but it works in a demo and not on the shop floor.
- You want a plan your team can start on tomorrow, not a report for the drawer.
What it comes down to in practice
- Incoming email and requests that are currently processed by hand
- Quotes, invoices and forms you retype between systems
- Customer questions that keep needing the same answers
- Reports that are rebuilt by hand every month
What we do
Free AI scan
Five minutes online: adaptive questions based on your industry, a score with concrete opportunities and a first price indication.
On-site core session
A half-day (4 hours, €596 plus travel costs) on your shop floor. We sit in on your processes, talk to your people and establish where automation really pays off.
Core report with go/no-go
A prioritised list with, for each opportunity: what it delivers, what it costs and what you need for it. Even if the answer is “don't do it” — then we say so.
Why we do it this way
Why a scan and a session first, instead of building straight away? Because the most expensive mistake in AI isn't a bug, but the wrong project. A half-day on site with you costs €596; six months of building something nobody uses costs many times that. So we first establish what it will deliver — and we say so even when the answer is “don't do it”.
What we often see go wrong
- Starting with a tool instead of a process: then you automate what happens to be possible, not what delivers the most.
- Having a strategy written by people who won't have to build it afterwards — then the report is right on paper, but not in practice.
- Wanting everything at once: one process that actually runs is worth more than five plans in a drawer.
- 1. Free AI scan — five minutes, a first picture of your opportunities.
- 2. Free intro call — ± 30 minutes, with someone who builds it themselves.
- 3. Core session — a half-day of 4 hours (€596) on your shop floor, with a core report and a go/no-go.
- 4. Proposal — fixed hours per month, one month in advance, building in short cycles.
- 5. Live and running — implementation on the floor, a service plan if you want one.
€110 per hour for straightforward work, €165 per hour for complex development — which hour carries which rate is fixed in advance. Always on a project basis, with a fixed number of hours per month and an AI budget for licences agreed up front.
The core session costs €149 per hour; a half-day of 4 hours is therefore €596, plus travel costs (€0.45 per kilometre). More hours only with your written approval. If we cannot deliver, you pay nothing for what was not delivered. All amounts exclude VAT.
Frequently asked questions: AI scan & strategy
What is the difference between the AI scan and the core session?
The scan is free and online: a first picture of your opportunities and a price indication in five minutes. The core session is paid (a half-day, 4 hours, €596 plus travel costs) and on-site: we look into your real processes and deliver a core report with priorities and a go/no-go.
Do I have to build with Ubert afterwards?
No. The core report is yours — free to use internally and with your advisers — and stands on its own. If you do build with us, the same people who ran the session build it out, at fixed hourly rates and with a fixed number of hours per month.
How soon do I get the core report?
Shortly after the session; we agree the date when we schedule the session. The report is short and concrete: priorities, expected returns, required data and integrations, and a go or no-go for each opportunity.
