TGW: checking administrative tasks automatically
In an exploratory phase: a proposal for an application that automatically checks administrative tasks for errors and anomalies.
What it was about
Administrative processes consist of many recurring tasks that are checked by hand. That is time-consuming and error-prone, and a mistake often only surfaces later.
Together with TGW we are exploring whether those checks can be largely automated: not to replace people, but to flag anomalies earlier and more consistently.
The parts
The proposed application checks administrative tasks for errors and for deviations from the defined rules.
Anomalies are flagged at the moment they arise, so they need not surface later in a review.
The application flags and explains; an employee assesses and resolves.
How we did it
- First map the administrative tasks and the current checking steps.
- Determine which checks lend themselves to automation and which keep a human eye.
- On that basis, work out a proposal and an initial outline, before anything is built.
What it delivers
- This engagement is exploratory: we work out a substantiated proposal and decide together whether and how to build.
- An estimate of the time saved and the reliability gained is part of that proposal.
