Careers at Ubert

We are growing and looking for self-employed colleagues.

Projects are coming up with commercial clients whose names you know. For those we are looking for partners on a freelance basis: people who run their own business, make their own choices and take their own responsibility for what they deliver.

Every role below is self-employed, under your own Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration. No employment contract, no agency construction. Which clients are involved is something we discuss in a conversation, not on a public page.

What you can expect from us

How we work with self-employed professionals

Genuinely self-employed, no disguised employment

You work under your own Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration, with a contract for services per project and your own responsibility for the result. You decide how and where you work, within what the assignment requires.

Payment within 14 days

We apply the same payment term to you that we ask of our customers. You invoice us yourself, per delivered component or per agreed part of the assignment; time tracking is the supporting evidence, not the basis.

Well-known clients

The projects coming up are commercial and visible. We tell you which companies they are when we talk; we do not put that on a public page.

You help build, you do not just execute

You sit in on the core session or read the core report. So you know why something is being built, not just what.

No exclusivity

You may take on assignments from others and, as a rule, you also work for other clients. All we ask is that you keep delivery agreements and that you are not working for a direct competitor of the same customer.

Your own equipment, your own insurance, your own risk

You work with your own equipment and licences, carry your own professional and business liability insurance and bear the risk for what you deliver. You decide how, where and when you do the work, within the agreed delivery date.

You may arrange a substitute

If there is a part you cannot do yourself, you may bring in a substitute who meets the same requirements. We assess that substitute, but we do not insist on you personally.

Honest about uncertainty

We are growing, but we do not promise a year of work in advance. For each project you hear the expected scope and duration, and if a project does not go ahead we tell you straight away.

Referral bonus

Know someone? Refer them to us and receive €500.

Know someone who would be a good fit here? Let us know. If it turns out to be a match and the collaboration gets under way, you receive €500. You do not have to do anything yourself except name the right person.

  • The person you refer is not yet known to us and is not already applying themselves.
  • The referral is valid for six months; if a collaboration comes about after that as a result of your referral, it still counts.
  • Payment after the first month of collaboration, by invoice or as a one-off fee.
  • Tell the person you are referring beforehand and make sure they agree. Passing on someone's name and contact details without their knowledge is not allowed and not something we do: we only get in touch once you confirm it has been agreed.
  • The €500 is a fee, not a gift. If you run a business, you invoice it with VAT. If you are a private individual, we pay out the amount and you are responsible for declaring it to the Dutch tax authorities (Belastingdienst); on our side it falls under the reporting of amounts paid to third parties.

Is your role not listed?

Email us anyway. We are growing, and if you can do something we do not have in house yet, we would like to hear it. A short email about what you do and what you have worked on is enough; a full CV is not needed.
