Oppo launches Find X10 Pro Max with three 200-megapixel cameras
Oppo has unveiled the Find X10 Pro Max in China, the first phone with 200-megapixel sensors on all three rear cameras. The device claims a dynamic range of 17 stops and arrives amid a wave of Chinese flagship launches.
Triple 200-megapixel camera as a first
Oppo today presented the Find X10 Pro Max in China, a flagship phone that the company says is the first in the world to feature 200-megapixel sensors on all three rear cameras. This is reported by The Verge based on the launch. The three cameras sit in a square, raised camera island, alongside a separate bar with a flash and an extra sensor.
17 stops of dynamic range thanks to new sensor technology
According to Oppo, the main camera delivers a dynamic range of 17 stops. The company attributes this to its own developed technology, called 'DeepPix sensor technology'. A high megapixel count says little on its own about image quality, The Verge notes; only once the other camera characteristics — including that dynamic range — are tested in practice will it become clear whether the Find X10 Pro Max actually takes better photos than its competitors.
An orange accent line on the device refers to the ongoing collaboration between Oppo and camera brand Hasselblad, which has long played a role in the image processing of Oppo's flagship models.
Two models, different specifications
Alongside the Find X10 Pro Max, Oppo also released a regular Find X10. Notably, there is no separate 'Pro' model without the 'Max' suffix. The regular Find X10 is slightly more compact, has a similar design, but lacks the extra lens element of the Pro Max and has a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens instead of the 200-megapixel version.
Under the hood, the Find X10 Pro Max runs on MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, while the regular Find X10 has to make do with the Dimensity 9600M. Both devices feature an 8,000 mAh battery, an IP69 water-resistance rating, and adjustable photo color profiles and film looks.
Launch fits a broader trend
The presentation of the Find X10 series follows shortly after the launch of the Vivo X500 series on September 21, 2026, which also claims a dynamic range of 17 stops. Tomorrow, on September 23, Xiaomi will unveil its 18 Pro models. The successive launches by major Chinese Android manufacturers coincide with the run-up to the holiday shopping season, when manufacturers traditionally bring their latest flagships to market.
International release still unknown
Oppo has confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max will eventually become available outside China, but no concrete date has been announced yet. Other details, such as exact pricing, sensor types, and an international release date, have also not yet been independently confirmed.
